Bad new for all you Little Monsters out there, OMG just reported [lastfm link_type="artist_info"]Lady Gaga[/lastfm] has ended her tentative partnership with retail giant Target, and the national chain will no longer be carrying their planned special Deluxe Edition of Gaga’s upcoming album “Born This Way.” This idea seemed like a home run, and the Target Exclusive Deluxe Editions of other albums have been great, so why did this one end up falling through?
[photogallerylink id=6588 align=left] Apparently the dispute between Gaga and Target stemmed from Target’s financial contributions to a political candidate who opposes gay marriage. While Target stands by their commitment to the GLBT community, this apparently wasn’t good enough for Gaga. The split between the retail and music giants was a mutual split, but it’s a shame we won’t have a chance to own a great Deluxe Edition of “Born This Way” in May. OMG has all the details, which you can read here.
