Without our mothers, whether our relationship with them is good or bad, we wouldn’t even exist. Mothers are most often the providers of a sense of home and a kind of fearlessness because we have faith that no matter what they will be there for us. Mothers often have the ability to see us for who we truly are, what our real worth is, and they give us hope everything will be ok.

One usually overwhelming maternal instinct is to provide shelter and sanctuary for her children–whether that be physical or spiritual. When I was a child, I remember being scolded by my mother for doing something bad and then immediately running to her arms after she got mad at me. Regardless of whether or not I was in trouble, my mother always provided that sense of home and comfort for me. A peaceful place where I could exclaim,

“Home is whenever I’m with you.” Thank you to all moms for giving us that feeling of home!
