Rock Island’s own [lastfm]Lissie[/lastfm] was named Paste Magazine’s #1 Best New Solo Artist of 2010 and had her first LP, Catching a Tiger, receive critical acclaim. Now she gets to come home and reap the rewards at Lollapalooza on Sunday. Often compared vocally to [lastfm]Stevie Nicks[/lastfm], the sultry blonde singer has a country-folk sound that is unlike any other new artist today.

A modern singer-songwriter by anyone’s definition, expect to hear her bluesy vocals cry out some seriously personal lyrics. It’s a pleasure to hear an artist like her nowadays, and we can’t in all good consciousness tell you to skip her, because she is simply unskippable.
