Located in Baltimore’s historic Mt. Vernon, The Belvedere towers over the city with its grand elegance. Presidents, Royalty, and Hollywood’s most famous stars have frequented The Belvedere earning it the status of “The Crown Jewel” of Baltimore…
The Belvedere first opened its revolving doors on December 10, 1903. Deriving its name from “Belvidere,” the estate of John Eager Howard, Maryland’s renowned Revolutionary War hero, The Belvedere became part of Baltimore’s social, political and economic life. In 1911, Woodrow Wilson stayed there while attending the Democratic National Convention in Baltimore where he was nominated for President. This began the rich history of the grand Belvedere.
