It seems Gotye will be a name that we’ll definitely remember for years to come.

At the 55^th Annual GRAMMY Awards, the New Zealander took home three statues: Best Alternative Music Album for Making Mirrors, along with Best Pop Group/Duo Performance and Record Of The Year for “Somebody That I Used To Know” featuring Kimbra.

It was also big night for the four guys of Mumford and Sons, who gave a boot stomping performance of their song “I Will Wait” before winning Album Of The Year for their record Babel. The English lads also took home the statue for Best Long Form Music Video. 

Fun., who were nominated for six awards last night, ended up winning two awards including Best New Artist and Song Of The Year for “We Are Young.” They also got a chance to show a little ankle during a rain soaked performance of their anthem “Carry On.”

 
Carrie Underwood earned two awards including Best Country Solo Performance and Best Country Song for “Blown Away,” but it might have been her dress that got the most attention.

Other winners included Rihanna for Best Short Form Video with “We Found Love,” Paul McCartney for Best Traditional Pop Vocal Album with Kisses On The Bottom, Chris Botti for Best Pop Instrumental Album with Impressions and Taylor Swift, who kicked off the nights festivities, won for Best Song Written For Visual Media thanks to her Hunger Games track “Safe And Sound.”

Even Adele went home a winner taking home Best Pop Solo Performance with a live version of “Set Fire To The Rain” originally on last year’s 6-time GRAMMY-award winning album 21. 

Kelly Clarkson only went home with one award for Best Pop Vocal Album, but from all her excitement you would have thought she was the biggest winner of the night. During her acceptance speech she thanked her fellow nominees like Katy Perry and expressed her love for the Best R&B Song winner Miguel telling him his performance was “the sexiest thing I’ve ever seen.” She also pitched that they collaborate in the future.

Aretha Franklin is in second place with 18 wins, while Alison Krauss holds the top spot with 27 awards.
