The Octagonal Building in Mt. Washington is an historical building. Designed by Dixon, Balbirnie, and Dixon in 1855, it was built for Mt. Washington Female Seminary. From 1890 to 1971, it was occupied by Mount St. Agnes College until it merged with Loyola University in the 1970′s. It is now part of the Mt. Washington Conference Center. The next time you are in Mt. Washington, check out this hilltop architectural piece of history.
